Call for Abstracts

We encourage all interested participants to submit their abstracts for consideration. This is an excellent opportunity to present your research findings to a distinguished audience and contribute to the advancement of healthcare in Dubai and beyond.

Submission

All abstracts must be uploaded via the Online Abstract Submission portal. This should be limited to a maximum of 500 words and should include the following:

Abstract Content

  • Title: Should be concise and descriptive.
  • Authors and Affiliations: List all contributing authors and their respective institutions.
  • Background: Provide context and rationale for the research.
  • Objectives: Clearly state the aim of the study.
  • Methods: Describe the methodology used.
  • Results: Summarize the key findings.
  • Conclusions: Highlight the significance and implications of the study.

All abstracts must be submitted on or before 15 August 2026.

Criteria for Abstract Acceptance

To ensure a high standard of submissions for the 1st UAE National Congress on NCDs, abstracts will be evaluated through a blind review process and scored based upon the following criteria to be selected for Oral and E-Poster Presentation:

Relevance and Impact

The abstract should address issues that significantly contribute to medical knowledge or improve patient outcomes. Research that has a direct impact on clinical practices, public health, or healthcare policy is highly valued.

Originality

Submissions should present novel ideas, innovative methods, or unique perspectives. Abstracts that offer fresh insights and creative approaches to existing problems are particularly sought after.

Clarity and Coherence

The abstract must be well-written, with a clear structure and logical flow. It should effectively communicate the research objectives, methods, results, and conclusions in a concise manner.

Scientific Merit

The research should demonstrate a rigorous methodology and strong analytical foundations. High-quality data, appropriate statistical analysis, and robust conclusions are essential components.

Significance

The study should contribute valuable insights or advancements to the field of medicine and healthcare. The potential for the research to influence future studies, clinical practices, or healthcare policies will be considered.

Ethical Standards

All research must adhere to ethical guidelines and practices. Submissions must demonstrate compliance with ethical standards, including obtaining necessary approvals and informed consent where applicable.

Language

All abstracts are to be written in English. The Scientific Committee reserves the right to edit abstracts where the English structure makes comprehension difficult.

Terms & Conditions

  • The scientific committee reserves the right to make the final decision about the abstract acceptance and its scheduling into the program, based on topics and time constraints.
  • The language of the congress is English.
  • All abstracts must be prepared using the abstract submission guidelines.
  • All presenters must register to attend the congress within a maximum of 1 week of acceptance of the abstract and be present at the time of the congress.
  • A certificate of appreciation will be given to all the presenters to honor their presentation.
